PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

I’ve been passionately involved with photography for over 21 years now – the last 18 professionally. My decision to study photography emerged whilst travelling. A desire to acquire the technical knowledge my creative side was seeking. This led me to Sydney’s Ultimo TAFE for the benchmark – a Diploma in Commercial Photography.
After completing my course in 2000 I decided to take a working holiday, culminating in a rare opportunity to work as a contract photographer in Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land, specialising in landscape, wildlife and cultural photography.

Since that auspicious beginning, I’ve involved myself in a myriad of freelance projects and full-time work. One particular highlight was as a staff photographer and writer with Express Publications, Australia’s largest independent publishing house. I was photographing 5 various travel and lifestyle magazines. Yeah I know, lucky me! Getting to travel around this beautiful country doing what I love was a true blessing.

Since becoming a Dad, I knew constant travel was no longer an option so a new journey began – photographing Architecture and Interiors.

I’m incredibly proud to have won the Best of Houzz Awards for Service and Design Photography for the 9th consecutive year! 17 awards and counting! At the end of 2017, I also started regular contract photography with Airbnb for the holiday property industry. This has proved to become an incredibly popular component to my photographic arsenal.
